朱甜甜
Tiantian Zhu

website: -

Born in 1982 to a cultivated and artistic family, Tiantian received professional training in Guzheng (Chinese zither), ballet dancing and singing from a very early age. Her musical talent was put on display in numerous competitions, which saw her become well known in her home city of Wenzhou. At the age of 19, she moved to the UK to attend university. In 2004, she met Li Jianhong (李剑鸿), an acclaimed noise musician from China, and founded an experimental musical group with him, Guan Zi Zai (观自在), which resulted in their eponymous debut album. The unique style of Guan Zi Zai meant their work drew the interest of experimental film directors and artists who used their music to complement films and exhibitions. Since finishing a Master's Degree in Sound Design, Tiantian has worked on many short and feature length films, as well as animations and TV documentaries. She's currently employed as a sound-dubbing mixer in London, working on TV shows for the BBC, Channel 4 and five.

Tiantian appreciates the beauty of sound for its own physical quality and through her work seeks to focus people's attention on 'listening'. Her works have always struck the audience as innovative and rebellious.
